What happened in Pennsylvania's
2024 elections?

Pennsylvania’s 2024 Election by the Numbers
- 2024 General Turnout: 7,034,206 (71.43% Voting Eligible Population)
- 2024 General Election Workers: 45,000+
- 2024 Primary Turnout: 1,747,964
Pennsylvania’s 2024 elections were free, fair, and secure.
For the primary elections, more than 1.7 million Pennsylvanians turned out to vote.
More than 7 million Pennsylvanians, or 71% of eligible voters in the state, turned out for the general elections in November. During that election, 45,000 election workers made sure voting was a smooth and secure process for voters across the state.
In 2024, as in other elections, ballots in Pennsylvania were subject to strict chain of custody requirements, which means non-partisan election officials were legally required to monitor and track every ballot through the process. This includes ballots cast by mail, as well as those placed in secure drop boxes or cast in person. After every primary and general election, as required by state law, county election boards conduct two specific kinds of post-election audits to verify that the election results were accurate. It was confirmed that all major 2024 election results in Pennsylvania were accurate through this process.
All counties in the state certified the results for the general election in 2024 by December 4th, 2024. Republican Philadelphia election board member Seth Bluestein said that voting in the city for the 2024 general elections was “safe and secure.”
